W.J. May & Associates Welcomes Advance Polymer Products
1 Oct 2011

"Advanced Polymer Coatings complements our lines of corrosion resistant construction materials, including our glass-lined steel equipment, epoxy and vinylester linings, stainless steel and exotic metal fabricated vessels, fiberglass (FRP) tanks and our Fluoropolymer coatings."

The ChemLine® brand of coatings from Advanced Polymer Coatings provide high performance corrosion protection. They are engineered using unique polymer technology to deliver excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals.

ChemLine® Coatings offer outstanding features and benefits, which can include:

  • Resistance to aggressive chemical exposures, including strong acids, alkalies, gases, solvents and oxidizers
  • Superior bond strength and adhesion to steel substrates and concrete
  • Non permeable film minimizes cargo absorption and assures content purity
  • Wear and abrasion resistant
  • Impact resistant
  • Outstanding flexibility
  • Steam cleanable
  • Field repairable
  • Compliant to FDA 21 CFR 175.300
  • High temperature resistance up to 500°F (260°C)
  • Thermal cycling resistance -40° to +400° F (-40° to 204°C)
  • Resist hydroblasting
  • Excellent conductive / static dissipating properties
  • Low surface tension
  • ChemLine® is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for food grade cargoes. ChemLine® coating complies with the FDA and all applicable food additive regulations.

We are having great success lining rail cars, lining tank trailers and lining vessels, and see opportunities within the power generation, chemical processing and paper industries. This is a great alternative to rubber lining or using stainless steel - lining with ChemLine should prove to be more cost effective that PTFE lined pipe with much better abrasion resistance.
